Chemo Pills - I'm Talking About You

Today is the first day of oral chemo! Oooooo eeee! Can you just feel the excitement?

I also can not. Mostly because I forgot.

Today is my first infusion + oncologist appointment at the new place. Apparently I was instructed to take oral chemo starting today. Good thing my husband remembered. “Did you take your pills?” he asked me this morning. I looked over at my weekly pills box. On brand, I had NOT taken my pills this morning. I said, “Oh, no, thanks for reminding me.” He looked at me. I looked at him. I took the pills. He kept standing there, looking at me. “The pills,” he said. I looked at him with a you just saw me take them how dumb are you look. “What about the chemo pills?” Oh for fucks sake.

Those pills? I forgot that they existed*.
